Description
About a Carnation by Maggie Terlecki.
Aww, Carnations; they smell delicious, of cinnamon and cloves and a little black pepper. As much as I like flowers, they are not my favorite. They bring about connotations of grandmotherly flowers, old fashioned. This shouldn't be bad, as what about soft, luscious roses, same right? I think it has to do with it not yielding easily. I love to take photos of flowers that give of themselves, have character, are sensual. Carnations are stubborn and will not bend for the life of them. Where the new leaves sprout, if you try to bend them in the least, they simply break off. So, even as pretty and yummy smelling as they are, not my favorite. But they might be yours! :-D

Oh, Maggie! Just beautiful ... the extra dense darkness allows each highlighted detail its time in the spotlight.. l/F
