Description
Chokecherries by Maggie Terlecki
These are chokecherries from my backyard. Funny story about how this image came about. I've been in a funk lately about doing images. Nothing much was inspiring me and I was finding it hard to find something that I wanted to shoot. Well, it happens that many people that I know felt in a similar mood. I am sure many of you understand with several people not having the ability to just go where they want to, when they want to. More people staying home and not getting the excitement that we are used to. So two of my friends from California, (I'm from Quebec, Canada) decided to make a group that would take a photo every day for a month. The photo had to be taken that day. There is no competition, just a good reason to get off our butts. Many may not have noticed, but I have not been uploading a lot and my commenting is far behind. I am so sorry. I think a month of this will help me get out of this rut I'm feeling and hopefully making some good work. Hope you will like the images to come. :-) Maggie

Maggie, this is lovely. Your choice of a round back-lighted black vase against a black background is brilliant! l/f
Maggie Terlecki replied:
I'm glad you like it Bonnie See. The vase is actually a chocolate liqueur bottle that was cream colored and I painted it black but I really loved the shape. Glad you like it! :-) Maggie

Your use of black is extraordinary. Just love the highlights on the vase....and the luminous glow of the berries and leaves! Wonderful, Maggie! F/L

Nice Maggie! Love how those leaves and vase outline pop against the black background.
