This is a hand painted digital art piece that depicts what is often called a Sugar Skull. On November the 1st, every year, on All Saints Day, the Mexican people celebrate the people they have loved and lost with sugar skulls. This day is called the Day of the Dead. El Dia de los Muertos. It is a reminder also to not fear death and we will be rejoined with those we love.
This painting is quite high resolution and can be printed very large. Especially beautiful on canvas.
I'm a photographer from a small town in Quebec, Canada and I do mostly Still Life compositions and Urban Vignettes. I take pictures of things I feel a connection to, a way of sharing my feelings, my world, and my place in it. My approach to photography is essentially the same as how an author uses words to write a story. Hopefully, you’ll find my voice and vision within my work. I also do digital painting - mostly fantastical creatures like fairies.
