Maggie, this is AMAZING!...this is more than a point and click, yes? Do you photo paint or manipulate to get these gorgeous effects? I wish I knew more about the world of photoArtistry...I have a feeling it parallels the many layers or glazings i, too, apply and manipulate In painting or mixed media to achieve fresh effects ...especially with Light and shadow!..:-) LOVE your daily challenge!...WONDERful...Go girl! Thank you so much, Laurel. I have a professional camera and I shoot in a method that is called RAW. It is unlike .jpg like we upload here, as each image must be post-processed as it is not a finished product. A little bit as if .jpg is a baked cake already frosted, and a .raw is all the ingredients, where you have a lot more liberty to do what you want. I can shoot .jpg if I wanted to, but I never see the need. Also, I play around and do things selectively so can tweak a lot. Also, since it's not a point and shoot, you play around with the amount of light that gets in the camera, which lens to use, what f-stop etc., I don't really do photo painting, but before doing photography, I always painted (not as good as you, but I did) and I have some digital paints on FAA that are not painted over photos, but actually drawn and painted by me, with a digital pen and tablet. It's different as traditional, but in many ways the same, except digital allows you to fix colors, get rid of layers that you may have screwed up. Being a great traditional artist, it would be something you might like to explore. It can be difficult the first few days or weeks, but once your eye and hand co-ordination (looking at the monitor instead of the paper, canvas etc., ) you could enjoy experimenting a whole new world. Thank you also, for taking time to comment on my image, I know time runs away from us and it is not always easy to do. All the best, Laurel :-) Maggie
