Description
They say where there is smoke there is fire.
When I photograph smoke, I sit quietly and with the windows closed so there is no draft and softly tap the floor. This helps the smoke to buckle.
You don't want to move too much as then you can't get beautiful shapes, which is what you are searching for.
You can do literally hundreds of photos and you'll get many good ones, but only a few will be great. This is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it!
This is a limited edition print. Once 10 prints have been sold, I will pull it. Next print to be sold will be 3/10. #02903. This does not pertain to images sold on products or as greeting cards. Image must be 16" or more on the longest side (before framing). If you purchase an image from me and would like a signed certificate of authenticity as long as the above conditions are followed, simply contact me through the site, or the contact form on maggieterlecki.com and I will be happy to mail you one!

You have inspired me with this spectacular image. I shall be playing with matches again.....hopefully not in the same manner as when I was a kid.
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Wow, Stuart, this is a comment from last year, but you know how sometimes comments don't always show up in the activity pool. I'm so glad you like it. Did you finally do any smoke photography?

A very creative and wonderful flame image Maggie. :-) FV
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Thank you, so much, Nick. It's the appearance of a flame which gave this its title, as it's actually an image of smoke! But you know what they say; where there is smoke, there is fire! :-D

Wow... One of my favorites and the fact that you are so generous with your technique is Even more Brilliant. Magnifique !!! L/F/Twitter Shared
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Thank you, Rafael. Doing smoke is so much fun but since I use incense sticks, it can get smelly. I wish they would make some with no scent at all, as the odor does linger. Glad you like it! :-) Maggie
