Description
Discovery by Maggie Terlecki
Photographers often tell people to not only look but to actually see. People pass the same things day in and day out but don't discover wonderful things that are just there waiting for someone to notice them. Here, this white tulip (a botanical beauty) notices and discovers the wonderful beauty of the apple. Yes, they are different even very different, but what a fantastic discovery. A good reminder for us all. Don't just look, open your eyes, there are things to discover.. all you have to do is actually see!
This is a limited edition print. Once 10 prints have been sold, I will pull it. Next print to be sold will be 1/10. #1715001. This does not pertain to images sold on products or as greeting cards. Oh, Maggie, how true is that statement, "Don't just look - see. My Dad gave me, almost but not quite, the same advice when he handed me my first camera. He said, "Just remember, it's not the camera - it's the photographer. This photo is just another example of your fine art photography letting the viewer (at least me!) "see" and have their minds flood with the inner conversation these two different everyday items are having with each other. LOL. Of course, my mind is a bit off the normal path than most, but I don't care! I love this and on this rainy, stormy morn, it's my Fav to converse with for the upcoming weekend. You have a great weekend, Maggie.
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Hi Rene! Your dad was a wise man. I know many photogs who are what we call 'gearheads' .. They own all the best equipments but forget that they are the true artist.. There may be better image quality.. but pixels don't matter if the image doesn't touch you in any way. I'm glad that you can see further beyond what is just represented. It's not just a tulip or an apple to you, and that makes me so very happy to know. It's what I strive for and since at least one person (yes, you!! ) gets it, then it makes me very happy. Have a great weekend too. :-) Maggie
