Description
Fog Swept In by Maggie Terlecki.
Today, after seeing a couple of images by fellow friend, Michel Verhoef (fabulous street photographer, here on FAA! please check out his work) I remembered this image I had taken. I'm far from being a poet, but did write a short poem to go with it as I was just in a poetic mood.
FOG SWEPT IN -
-Long lost souls
-buried long ago
-reminding us
-that life is short
-let them know
-you love them
-they'll be gone
-before you know.
FEATURED IN:

Oh, yes, this is definitely - along with your poem - Creme De La Creme, Maggie. I've lost so many dear to me that often that fog sweeps right in to my mind and heart. Fav'd for sure.
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Thank you so much, René. I'm glad you like it. Yes, we all need to tell people we love that is so because sometimes it's too late and there is nothing more you can say.

Lovely, Maggie ... it was the Light that drew me to this image .. before I realized it as a graveyard :) The Ligh & the fog here represents to me the veil that hides from us those we have loved & lost ; & the reassurance that they are in a good place, with the hope that one day we will be reunited. You are right, Life is short, & to be cherished; it is our privilege to live & to love. {Essay over, Maggie! cheers! .. & oh, yes, Michel's work is as terrific, as well; you are both lovely people}
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Thank you, so much, Connie for taking the time to look at so many of my images and tell me how they make you feel. There is nothing as wonderful as getting a response from someone that actually took time to look and enjoy. Thank you so much. :-) Maggie .........oh, and yes, Michel is fantastic photographer and just as fantastic a person too.

Wow...thanks Maggie for your words and I already recognized this scene here...really fantastic and not easy to get against the sun. Btw cannot believe you made that poem too...top notch ! That last sentence...they (the dead) will be gone before you know...is chilling !! We need to visit them more often...so I will put some of my cemetery images more to the front :-) wishing you a nice weekend !
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Michel. Looking at your images, reminded me of my parents who are deceased and how much I missed them. I also need to upload more cemetery pics; I like them but don't know if people would, but you know., at least I get to share my work. Hope you have a nice weekend too and a chance to go out and shoot! :-) Maggie
