Description
Hope Within its Heart by Maggie Terlecki.
The Pomegranate. Many cultures has its own beliefs about pomegranates, from life and death, but mostly hope. Hope of fertility, hope of beauty, hope of life eternal. And of course, they are delicious. Here, I tried to depict it with an explosion of hope, as the pomegranate in French is the Pomme Grenade.
As a child, my mom would always buy me a pomegranate for the first day of school in September. It would last all week. I, eating each little perfect little juicy jewel , one at a time. It's a fond memory of my childhood.
For anyone following along, this is day 23 of the 30 day challenge of doing a photo shoot every day. I'm starting to feel a little drained and thank you for your encouragement.

Lovely work, as always, Maggie. This one tugs at my heart because my daughter loves pomegranates...the only one in the family to discover them and savor each one. F/L+++

Thank you so much, Nancy. I understand her. It was a revelation to me to to find that these beautiful little jewels held what I considered the juice of the Gods. I love that she fell in love with them too! :-) Maggie

Nice little trail leading to the pomegranate; the red against dark grey is a nice combination!
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Hi William. Thank you so much. I had wanted to it to look like the seeds were coming out, but I can see that it works both ways. ;-) Maggie
