Description
Let It Snow by Maggie Terlecki. The town I live in became a town because there was gold and when the mine started out, they built very small homes for the miners to live in. This area, now called the Village Minier, is especially beautiful in winter and doubly so when the snow falls softly to the ground in big fluffy cottony shapes wonderfully highlighted by the dark log cabins. It's quite a site to see.
.
The branches have a thick layer of snow on them and look so pretty. Everything looks cozy and we just envision people inside warming by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Yes, winter is cold, but hey, Let it Snow!

Thank you, Sharon. I often tone winter images in dark blues as I find them warmer than a pure black and white. I don't know why, I do prefer it, but glad you like it too! :-) Maggie

It seems that you are jumping right into an early Xmas Maggie !! Hope you have some fun in the snow 👍
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Hi Michel. This was actually taken last winter as the snow this year has not arrived yet. Usually it has, but it has been unseasonally warm this year, but rest assured, in a week or two, we will have plenty. I had debated posting it earlier in the year, but spring was about to be sprung and thought nobody wanted to be thinking of cold as that time of the year, so waited until now. And yes, very Xmassy! :-) Thanks for visiting. I'll be by your portfolio again soon. Put on some coffee! :-D
