Phlox brings back strong memories of my parents. The nostalgia is unmistakable. When I first moved into the house that I live in now, my parents gave me some phlox to put in my garden. Sadly, now my parents are gone, but the phlox live on. They continually give me beautiful pink almost lavender flowers every year, if I'm kind and take care of them and even when I'm more self-absorbed and just hope for the best. They never disappoint. They remind me of my parents and how no matter what, they were always there for me. I miss them dearly.

I usually put these flowers in a tall vase as their stems are 4 feet long at least, but I had this idea in my head of them in a wicker basket, so put a bowl inside and cut them very short. I hope you like the image.
