Peonies, Tea and Oranges by Maggie Terlecki is a homage to Leonard Cohen who many years ago wrote and recorded a song called 'Suzanne' where he describes how she takes him down to the river and feeds him tea and oranges that come all the way from China.

Beautiful! So rich in texture and subtle shading of colours. The gold from the tea cup really anchors the composition. Awesome.

Thank you, so much, Yvonne. The cup is a keepsake from my mom who brought it back from a trip to Europe. I only use it as a prop, but each time, it makes me think of her!
