Description
The Midnight Rose by Maggie Terlecki
Florist roses are not my favorite. They are very tight and stiff and rarely smell like roses. Sometimes the florist puts some perfume on them that is perfumey, but nowhere like true roses.
This rose from my backyard garden is definitely not as perfect, but she's perfect to me. She smells amazing in the hot summer day as she does at midnight. Just like human beings, it is not always the most perfect that is perfect for you. :-) Maggie

Beautifully composed and balanced. A triangle juxtaposed against the circle, softness of the flower against the coolness of the glass bottle. I love the way you are controlling the light, and bend it to your will with such an ease. Superb. Beautiful image!

Thank yo so much, AnnaJo. The vase is actually an old liqueur bottle that I painted black. It has the most wonderful shape! :-) Maggie
