Description
The Violinist's Break by Maggie Terlecki.
When violinists have been practicing for hours, they often take a break, have some tea and fruit; often oranges.
This image was created by light painting; which is using a small light and exposing for a long period of time in complete darkness. It is difficult to do in one go as you want to get all the important objects in light and leave areas that are unimportant in the dark. Why do it? It brings a great amount of richness and depth to an image and replicates many of the painting of the old Dutch Masters. I hope you like it.

Never heard of light painting....but it really worked so well !! Those violinists were really quite healthy I must say , but the time was just as important to tell them when to continue playing again ;-)

Maggie, awesome still life artwork. Your small light in complete darkness technique make wanders. It really replicates old Dutch Masters. It's so beautiful artwork. Fv
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Barbara, it took many times to get it right, there was always something missing in the shot. But finally it came together. I am quite pleased and glad you like it too! :-) Maggie
