Although peonies are not my very favorite flower, they are high up there on the list as they as voluptuous and sensual. Two days ago, none of my peonies were open, then a heat wave hit and they all started to explode with their beautiful fluffly heads that look good enough to eat. Like vanilla icecream! I did my photoshoot in the morning before the heat defeated me. 34C with humidity of 40C is no joke; especially in Northern Canada. That's about 100F and with humidity 112F for all you folks in the U.S.A.

I'm a photographer from a small town in Quebec, Canada and I do mostly Still Life compositions and Urban Vignettes. I take pictures of things I feel a connection to, a way of sharing my feelings, my world, and my place in it. My approach to photography is essentially the same as how an author uses words to write a story. Hopefully, you’ll find my voice and vision within my work. I also do digital painting - mostly fantastical creatures like fairies.

Oh, thank you Joseph. I live in a place where winter is long and cold, so flowers get brought home from the grocery store, then when they bloom, there are always flowers in the house. I wish I had more variety, but thankful for what I have! :-) Maggie
