I have these Persian Lilacs in a tree in front of my house. It blooms a little later than other lilacs and it has more of a magenta/pink look to the flowers. The leaves are also different. It seems to me, every year, it is particularly hot when it blooms and this year is no exception. We are in the 4th day of a heat wave (today it was 35C, which for you folks in the US, is 95F)
It really was very hot and I wondered how I would get through the shoot. I cut short and hoped for the best! :-)
Oddly enough a week ago, we had snow falling on Sunday. Now we are expecting this weather until it is supposed to break on Tuesday. I wish you all a more comfortable summer! :-) Maggie
