When I was started out doing my shoot today, my first intention was to do something quite autumnal with all the elements that scream fall.

Apples of course, with their fabulous burst of taste and some firey leaves for a splash of color, perhaps something rustic or a basket to pull it all together. I went out and found a branch of Maple leaves that were bright red.

It was alright, but also looked like everything I'd already seen so I thought I'd take a different approach. A soft fall of greys, with a pear instead of an apple, and a bit of cloth. I like it.

Funny how I used to not like pears and only bought them to take photographs because they didn't have that burst of flavor that an apple had, but oh... slowly, they made me understand that they were not meant to be taken quickly to be munched on but slow and delicate to savor their delicate subtle meat. They are so much more sensual than an apple plus they have bootie to spare and long elegant necks.

This is a limited edition print. Once 10 prints have been sold, I will pull it. Next print to be sold will be 2/10. This does not pertain to images sold on products or as greeting cards. Image must be 16" or more on the longest side (before framing).
